27th July 2022 – MSNMMI successfully involved with a national workshop called DEVELOPMENT OF NATIONAL CONSENSUS FOR THERANOSTIC SERVICES AND RADIONUCLIDE THERAPIES IN MALAYSIA.

This workshop is jointly organized by MSNMMI and Nuclear Medicine services, Ministry of Health Malaysia and supported by IAEA. It is also co-hosted by PHKL and Nuclear Medicine Department, IKN.

This workshop was conducted in hybrid format with invited participation consisting of nuclear medicine physicians, physicist, pharmacist, biochemist and technologist from all over Malaysia. What a historical moment to see all of them in the same workshop working together to achieve similar objective !

The primary objective of this workshop is to create a national consensus regarding radionuclide therapy in Malaysia. As we all well aware, the number of radionuclide therapy cases in Malaysia is gradually rising up so it is definitely better to have an agreement among all the experts in Malaysia regarding the whole process of radionuclide therapy.

This workshop will be conducted for 3 days in Pantai Hospital Kuala Lumpur starting from 27th July 2022. Deep gratitude to PHKL to provide us a convenient facility to conduct this workshop.

Our big thanks to our respective invited speaker and panelist, Prof Dr. Sobhan Vinjamuri to help us completing the consensus.

Those who attend this workshop, please give a massive applause to yourself on your effort for the past three days. Though we are coming from multidisciplinary professions that based in different entities such as government, privates, universities and vendors, that does not stop us from working together to achieve the same goal !

Hopefully this will be our jump-start at the early phase development of theranostic in Malaysia ! We are far away from enough, we should have more this kind of event to make our national NM consensus even better ! Everyone knows that Nuclear Medicine field is aggresively developing as we speak today. So do us! Malaysia boleh!
